Sydney-born, L.A. based singer songwriter, producer and DJ Alison Wonderland makes a stunning return with soaring synth-pop track "Church",  the first official single from her forthcoming album, 'Awake'.

The accompanying video for "Church", shot in Los Angeles and directed by Bo Mirosseni, depicts an ethereal Alison and a young gospel choir against a church backdrop, bringing the hypnotic track to life.

Underneath its vibrant pop pulse, 'Awake' is the sound of Alison emerging from her own darkness. On "Church", she reveals her most honest lyrics to date, sharing her personal struggles with difficult relationships, anxiety and self-doubt, explaining that the song is about “realising your self-worth, when the person you’re with doesn’t.”

A mix of digital-pop and incendiary beats, 'Awake' will see Alison blaze new territory - sonically, vocally, emotionally. Honed by years of playing literally hundreds of headline shows and festival slots around the globe, it comes as both a natural evolution from her Gold certified, 2015 debut Run and an exhilarating step forward.

“I just wanted to go bigger and really push myself,” she explains. “Vocally, I can hear a massive difference. I’m a lot more comfortable with my voice now and I’m not afraid to get on the mic and just go for it.”
