Hot from the success of their surprise covers album, 'THE TEAL ALBUM', and just one week before the release of their highly anticipated sixth studio album, 'THE BLACK ALBUM', Weezer drop their latest single "High As A Kite"!

Produced by TV On The Radio's Dave Sitek, the song features lead singer Rivers Cuomo singing about loneliness over a new wave groove, described by Spin as an "upbeat meditation on emotional turmoil, with a typically silly and self-aware bent." "High As A Kite" is accompanied by a music video that's a spoof on the cult classic kids show Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, but ends with the band destroying the set.

Things soon turn a bit dark as the audience pays closer attention to the lyrics behind the rock track. “I feel no pain, I feel no pleasure/ I only want to disappear/ So let me play this game for children/ And vanish into the atmosphere,” Cuomo sings.

'THE BLACK ALBUM' was produced by Sitek, with whom the band worked for the first time and who Cuomo credits for inspiring ''the big idea'' for the album which was to write all of the songs on the piano, to give it ''some of that classic songwriter-y feel." With band members switching up instruments in the studio, and choruses filtered through Sitek’s own encyclopedic musical references of everything from Gorillaz to Can to Pink Floyd, 'THE BLACK ALBUM' is the bold next step in the winning streak of acclaimed albums they’ve released since 2014.
