A tradition that has been going for a while in Canadian Junior Hockey is the Christmas 'Teddy Bear Toss'.

Fans bring thousands of Teddy Bears to the game and then when the home team scores their first goal the bears rain down onto the ice.

Once all the bears are cleaned up they are donated to families and children for Christmas.

This years 'Teddy Bear Toss' saw 23,924 bears donated to charity.
