Ya'll Rinne for this?
The NHL hit Smashville for the first ever in a Stanley Cup Final and the atmosphere inside the building and outside on Broadway was a Gary Bettman wet dream.
As over 18 thousand fans watched their home team dominate play on the ice for the 3rd game of the series, over 40 thousand outside on the street finally saw the Predators win a game of the Stanley Cup Final for the first time in franchise history.
Jake Guentzel scored his 13th goal of the playoffs early in the 1st Period for the Penguins but following that the Predators began to again dominate the possession and shot stats.
For the first time in the series, the Preds saw their dominance in the analytics and underlying numbers translate into a lead on the scoreboard.
In other words, Pekka Rinne wasn't terrible.
Nashville scored three goals in the 2nd Period, and from there the catfish and the crowd chants flowed.
The final period of the game was a typical period of playoff hockey, where one team was being completely dominated.
Chippy and nasty after every whistle.
Game 4 on Tuesday is going to be one helluva party! If the party ever stops on Broadway from now until then...
