Yes it appears the legends are true...

The menu items you didn't know you could order and until now as their existence was a closely kept secret only privy to those who know.

During a Ask Me Anything on Reddit, a McDonald's employee confirmed the validity of the Macca's secret menu.

"You can order from the 'Secret Menu'. Just like with any of our sandwiches, you can add, remove or change ingredients by special request. These are called 'grill orders' (i.e. Big Mac no pickle).

"The items on the 'secret menu' weren't invented by anyone officially at McDonald's, it's just a random persons guide to burgers you could potentially 'hack' at McDonald's.

"Order one and the workers might not know it by name (i.e. Land, Air and Sea burger or the McGangBang) but if you explain what it is, and are willing to pay for all the ingredients, it's just another 'grill order' that we can make up.

"DON'T order... the grilled chicken. It's horrible frozen chicken that we defrost and steam and it's a bit gelatinous."

The employee did not give his name but is said to be a manager at McDonald's in Glasgow, Scotland.

This is not the first news to emerge of the secret menu as last year the website Hack The Menu revealed the different hidden options on the McDonald's menu.

The secret menu includes such items as the Monster Mac and the McGangBang sees existing McDonald's ingredients fused into a whole new recipe.

McDonald's denied the claims made on Reddit, saying: "There is no secret menu at McDonald's UK."
