The man tried to lure a 12-year-old boy into his pickup by claiming he needed help finding a lost dog.

He told him he'd give him a treat if he got in his car.

The boy said “no” and began running to his friend’s home, while the truck drove off at a high rate of speed, police said.

The boy described the suspect as a Hispanic man in his 30s or 40s, wearing a hooded sweatshirt pulled close to his face. He was light-skinned with facial hair and a C-shaped scar over his left eye. He spoke with a deep voice, police said.
