From Olympic swimming to spearfishing Moss Burmester never fails to achieve. His rewards usually come in gold, silver or bronze medals, but not this time.

Burmester managed to land the first ever black marlin speared in New Zealand waters!

Unfortunately he can't add this one to the trophy cabinet as technically he didn't catch it alone. "I would love to be able to claim the record," Burmester said. "But it must be completely unassisted."

"It was an epic, a huge thrill and something I've always dreamed of from an early age, to catch a marlin," he said.

Such an awesome effort from the Olympian but now we just wonder - who would've won a swimming race? The Marlin or the Moss?
