School Bus And SUV Collide

Ten people have been taken to hospital after a crash involving a school bus in Christchurch this morning.

Emergency crews are at the crash on Avonside Drive, between Linwood Ave and Stanmore Rd. The area has been closed off.

St John said two people are in a moderate condition. The rest are all have minor injuries.

Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area or expect delays.

One person is trapped after a crash between a bus and an SUV in Christchurch's east.

Emergency services were called the crash around 8.15am at the intersection of Avonside Drive and Trent St.

Traffic is being diverted.
