The man who used his body as a human shield during the Tunisia beach massacre to protect his fiancée has finally left the hospital.

The former rugby prop forward from Wales, Matthew James, was shot three times in his stomach and chest by bullets which missed his vital organs by millimetres.

The 30 year old has recalled the terrifying moment he looked up at  Seifeddine Rezgui, Islamic State killer's face as he killed 38 people.

Matthew told the Mirror, "There was no emotion in his face. He looked like a postman going about his business but instead of delivering letters he was strolling along shooting people."

Matthew was flown home to the UK and has been recovering in hospital in Cardiff with his fiancée Saera Wilson at his side.
She told the Mirror, "He took a bullet for me. I owe him my life because he threw himself in front of me when the shooting started."

What a hero!
