Jeremy Wells received a punishing fine from the Auckland Library for $7m

Jeremy Wells is many things. He is a punisher. He is a wounder. He is good looking and now apparently a book thief.

He received a slightly concerning letter from the Auckland Library for $7,100,105.20 for an overdue kids book Ngataniwhaerua. Ha!

Just got a summary of outstanding charges from Auckland Libraries... Did I buy the entire library? #terrifying #bill #expensivebooks #ngataniwhaerua #sevenmilliondollars?

The letter was actually sent in May and after getting in touch with Auckland Libraries, Jeremy was informed that was letter was an error.

Auckland Libraries head of content Catherine Leonard said the book in question was from the children's section and would not have incurred any overdue fees.
