Foo Fighters release full video of their iconic 2006 Hyde Park show for charity

On Friday (April 24), Foo Fighters dropped video footage of their June 17th, 2006 performance at London’s Hyde Park where an estimated 100,000 fans showed up to see the band play a 16-song set.

The concert footage was released for We Are Hear in an effort to raise money for musicians and their teams whose livelihoods have been put on pause during the COVID-19 pandemic. Donations are going directly to MusiCares. At the time of publishing, $7,500 had been raised.

The hour and 19 minute video should hopefully help fill the Foo Fighters-shaped hole in your heart as the band was forced to postpone it's 2020 Van Tour because of the novel coronavirus pandemic.

While nothing beats singing along and getting sweaty during a Foos set, the footage should at least get you stoked to see them upon their return and prepare you for the impending new album.

In the 2006 footage, Foo Fighters started off strong with massive hits including “All My Life”, “Best of You”, and “Learn to Fly.” There were also incredible special guest appearances by both the one and only Lemmy Kilmister of Motörhead as well as the legendary band Queen.

The high-energy set also included a jaw-dropping drum solo by Taylor Hawkins who also took over vox when Brian May and Roger Taylor took to the stage.

While Foo Fighters won't be heading out on tour soon, the band has promised fans they'll hit the road as soon as they get the all clear and that their highly-anticipated album is completely finished.
