Deftones are continuing the 20th anniversary celebration of White Pony with the launch of a new Añejo tequila named for the seminal album.

The band's third studio album turned 20 years old last June.

This week, Deftones announced a collaboration with Abre Ojos Tequila for a limited-edition Añejo tequila to mark two decades of White Pony.

"The limited edition Añejo was handcrafted in the town of Tequila, Jalisco," reads a description for the spirit. "It is aged up to two years in American Oak used whiskey barrels creating caramel, vanilla, hazelnut and chocolate notes. The buttery taste ends with a smoky, mature flavour. It is meant to sip and enjoy."

Only 2,800 bottled of the "Anniverario" Añejo have been produced, and it will be available for purchase in California, Tennessee, New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maryland, Washington, D.C. and online.

Pre-orders begin next week. For more information, go here.

While any plans to celebrate the record in concert last year were scrapped due to the pandemic, the band released a remixed/reimagined version of the album, Black Stallion, last December.

A week ago, the band revived the Pac-Man-style arcade game that was included with the special edition of the original album in 2000.
