Budweiser has turned to Queen and some other friendly faces to lure drinkers back into bars.

On Wednesday (June 24), the brand unveiled a new advertisement, which was created by Anomaly Canada, featuring Budweiser's beloved Clydesdales horses, as well as an adorably puppy running across country to meet each other. Set to the tune of the rock vets' 1979 smash, "Don't Stop Me Now," the project is meant to celebrate "buds across the country getting back together, as social distancing restrictions in some parts of the country begin to relax." Titled “Reunited With Buds," the ad features footage put together from five previously released ads, including Super Bowl spots from 2013 and 2015 that starred the canine.

"The Clydesdales are a symbol of strength and are known to bring people joy and familiarity during both happy and trying times. We wanted to give people something to smile about while reminding them to exercise extra precaution and follow safety measures as the nation slowly reopens," Monica Rustgi, VP of marketing for Budweiser, said in a statement.

Despite the excitement, Budweiser is still encouraging consumers to follow guidelines set by the CDC, local government and individual establishments when reuniting with friends. The spot is the latest move from the brand’s umbrella company, Anheuser-Busch, who has been actively giving back to the community since the COVID-19 pandemic started. Not only has Anheuser-Busch stood strong with their partnership with the American Red Cross, but they’ve mobilized the brand’s 18,000 employees to work on initiatives at their facilities across the country for local and regional relief efforts.
