Netflix has tweaked one of its logos, irking some fans of the world's largest TV streaming service.

Viewers noticed recently that the logo used by Netflix on Twitter and on its app services had changed from red and white display to something a little more bold.

The new logo has changed to a red 'N' on a black background.

Fans were quick to take issue with the change, with one calling the new look, "satanic".

Netflix was quick to point out the logo wasn't an across-the-board change, but just an update to one part of their branding.

"We are introducing a new element into our branding with an N icon," a spokesperson told The Verge. "The current Netflix logo will still remain."

And on Twitter, the streaming service told viewers: "We just got a new 'do - keeping it fresh. Our logo isn't going anywhere, the icon is just a new piece of our overall look."
