Quietly attracting a significant global following for their sweeping pop anthems, Aotearoa's Mild Orange mark the onset of summer with confident new double single drop 'What's Your Fire?' and 'Hollywood Dreams'. Both tunes set listeners up for Mild Orange's just-announced third studio album Looking For Space, launching on 10th February via AWAL, smack-dab in the middle of the four piece's forthcoming tour of the EU, UK and North America. Local fans needn't fret though, as they'll be preceding the overseas adventure with festival appearances at Coroglen's Rockin Horse Festival and Tora Bombora Festival in the Wairarapa this coming January. 'What's Your Fire?' is an epic-scale quest for identity that's sure to move crowds, while slow-groover 'Hollywood Dreams' reflects upon those infamous, ever-shifting goalposts of showbiz success. Frontman Josh Mehrtens unpacked the origins of the lead track...
“For me, 'What's Your Fire?' came from a time in my life where I was trying to figure out who I am, or who the person I want to be is. It asks oneself some intense questions, though hopefully helps oneself find light in the idea that there is always something that you can do to improve yourself or the world around you - no matter how big or small.”
