Emerging New Zealand Alt-Rock Duo Midwave Breaks have made an explosive impact at Rock Radio since launching in 2021, with their debut single Lemonade Hand Grenade blowing up across the country, peaking at number 3 on the NZ Radioscope Rock Chart, and spending over 12 weeks in the Top 5.

Midwave Breaks’ purposefully-retrospective sound, epitomised by 80’s-90s Alt-Rock, evokes hints of Springsteen and Petty, Cornell and Vedder, and with a further 4 independently released singles in the top 20 over the past year, their sound has landed a direct hit, resonating across the Rock Radio audience.

The tracks may have been recorded in a farmhouse in rural New Zealand, but most were mixed Stateside by Grammy Award Winning Engineer Mark Needham, most notable for his work with The Killers (Mr Brightside), and Imagine Dragons.

Midwave Breaks latest single, ‘In The Face Of All We Know’, continues to showcase their ability to craft hook-laden songs that capture a feeling and a moment. This upbeat track puts a hopeful twist on the notion that life is not black and white, there’s always an ‘other’ side to any story, and that ultimately if we can respect each other’s differences, maybe we could all just get along.

In The Face Of All We Know is OUT NOW!
